Nakeshia Williams, LCMHC
Nakeshia is a supportive clinician who is unafraid to challenge you toward the change you are seeking in a warm environment where you feel comfortable being your authentic self. I have been providing counseling services for over 16 years. I have a Bachelor’s degree in English Education and Master’s degree in Rehabilitation Counseling from South Carolina State University. I offer individual therapy to adults and adolescents (ages 13+) using an eclectic mix of therapeutic techniques from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), mindfulness, psychodynamic, and solution-focused approaches to help you achieve your goal. I look forward to working with you! My goal in every session is to provide a safe space where you can explore your world without judgment, fear, or advice-giving. I work with people who experience issues such as depression, anxiety and stress, grief and loss, relationship issues, women’s issues, self-esteem and confidence, and transition and goals. I view people as resilient individuals who are physical, spiritual, mental, social, and emotional beings — all people create an impact and are impacted by the environment around them. My goal in every session is to provide a safe space where you can explore your world without judgment, fear, or advice-giving. I invite you to take your first step today.
