Mahkal Mathews is a Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor Associate (LCMHC-A) and a Licensed Clinical Addiction Specialist (LCAS) with over 19 years of experience supporting adolescents, adults, and families through their mental health and addiction journeys. I have extensive experience helping clients navigate challenges such as depression, anxiety, trauma, grief, life transitions, addiction, family dynamics, relationship concerns, self-esteem, women’s issues, and parenting. I use an integrative, client-centered approach grounded in evidence-based practices, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), Solution-Focused Therapy, Motivational Interviewing, Positive Psychology, and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT). I also incorporate principles of life coaching to empower clients toward meaningful change and personal growth. Every session with me is tailored to your unique needs and goals whether you’re looking for practical tools to cope, space to reflect, or guidance to heal. My work is rooted in compassion, trust, and respect, providing a safe, judgment-free space where you can feel heard, understood, and supported.
